Design problem: Kids absolutely love juice. It's one of the best things to keep them calm during snack time, road trips, or waiting rooms. But many of the healthier options just don't come in individual pouches or small bottles, let alone variety packs with other healthy snacks. Wouldn't it be convenient to just buy one kit and have multiple flavors and snacks in kid-friendly portions?
Design solution: I decided that a "gift kit" from PennyJuice would have individual servings of juice in multiple flavors and snacks like dehydrated fruits and applesauce. There are multiple options for gift kits: a snack kit for road trips, a fan kit with included merchandise and new limited-time flavors, and an "everything kit". Snack kits could be sold in grocery stores and all of them would be available for ordering online.
Audience: Parents of children age 3-10.

My idea for packaging was a cardboard pinch box with the PennyJuice logo on the top and sides and the rainbow border on the front side. The inside of the top flap would say "Please enjoy your PennyJuice Gift Kit!" Inside there would be a small card or paper listing everything within the kit and an email and phone number to report any product defects or send questions.
Merchandise: Inside the fan kit and everything kit, there would be some PennyJuice brand merch. A reusable water bottle with the tagline It Makes Cents, a mug with the logo, and a Penny Juice branded hoodie.

For my logo, I decided to use the penny concept and run with it, creating a fun design with the words penny juice inside of a penny with a juice box symbol. I played around with a few different versions of the penny idea, but I always knew I had to use a penny somehow in the design. With my feedback, I improved the contrast, changed the font to be more playful and fun, and added details and highlights. For colors, I went with a copper orange, a deep brown, and a bright teal, which contrasted nicely against each other. The teal reminded me of both water/juice and how pennies turn green or teal after they oxidize.
